Inspired By Beautiful Jewelry from Ava J Creations

If you've been following, you know this week is all about the opening of our new online shop.  Normally on Thursdays, we highlight a designer or particular trend  that influences or inspires us. We recently met a talented young jewelry designer, Kay Smith with Ava J Creations. We immediately fell in love with her and her work. Her designs are both simple and timeless and always vintage inspired. Vintage jewelry is definitely a trend right now, but is always wonderful.  I've collected vintage jewelry for years. The gurus (whoever they are) decide what is hot and what is not, so some years it's all about vintage and some years its not. The bottom line is it never goes out of style. It just gets better. Throughout the years it becomes even more unique and that's what we are all about!

"Sister" gives me a hard time because I don't think you can get too much jewelry.  I love to layer necklaces and these look great together.

Kay has incorporated vintage keys into some of my favorite designs.  We have several different designs with the keys in the shop.

Love, love this one.  The roses are vintage shoe clips that can be taken on and off.

The simplicity of this piece is just beautiful.  The religious medallion is an old piece.

Another fun design with the vintage key.

Aren't the carved vintage beads just beautiful in this piece?

One of the great things about Ava J Creations is the price. These are very unique designs crafted with vintage materials at extremely affordable prices. Really, these pieces make fabulous gifts. That is if you can part with them yourself!

To see all of the Ava J Creations in our shop click here. When you get there just scroll down on the right side of the page and click on Jewelry/Gifts. You'll find all the details as well as pricing there.

What do you think? Do you like vintage jewelry? Do you like to keep it simple or do you layer it up? We want to hear. It's your turn. Let's talk.

Oh, and one more thing, don't forget to go here and comment for a chance to win this fabulous piece by Ava J Creations.  We donated the necklace and Sherry, with No Minimalist Here, is hosting the giveaway for us.

And sign up to follow and comment here for a chance to win these great vintage inspired napkin rings fashioned from old bed springs.

See, we really do need to talk!!!

I think it's all wonderful, but I am especially partial to the ones with the keys. I've been collecting old keys it seems like my whole life!
