Getting to Know You...

Welcome to our new blog.  We first stumbled upon the design blog world while Googling Pamela Pierce, a favorite Houston designer of ours that has been featured in Veranda several times.  We were hoping to see more of her work and our search led us to

Cote de Texas

. Joni Webb is amazing. She led us to other blogs and the rest was history. We were hooked.  There is such amazing knowledge and talent out there.  We are thrilled to join other bloggers and look forward to sharing inspiration and ideas from our own journey as well.

Speaking of journey, we leave on our Spring buying trip through South Texas in a few weeks.  Here are a few pictures from a previous trip.

Merchandise is set up in fields like this for miles and miles and miles!

We don't know what we would do without our friend John Fischer. After we have been there for 10 days he comes and picks everything up and hauls it all back to Little Rock for us. He locates it all from our notes and directions. We have already paid for everything. He has never missed a thing.

We have very tired, very dirty feet at the end of the day.

Our favorite little spot to rest those tired feet at the end of a long day.

These next images are of a screened porch we recently did with a lot of our previous finds from road trips. The fabulous daybed was a real find. We designed the custom made cushions and added an aubusson pillow from Cobblestone and Vine.

In this image we added beeswax candles to a chandelier and had mirror aged to go in the old palladio window. All from Roundtop.

The old field cross that we hung from rusted chain and the neat little barrel table were from Texas as well.
