Yeah for Friday...And Neutral Too!

Yeah it's Friday...
I'm out the door, but just ran across a fabulous pic on Pinterest. You really need to study the level of detail in this living room from Traditional Home...It's just soooo good.

The black painted windows are beautiful (I don't think they are steel...pretty good when your not quite sure). The monochromatic palette is carried out to perfection. All the different textures are so yummy and those drapes...Oh My! A lovely mix of prints hung in groupings combined with the beautiful original canvas art on the mantel. Fabulous custom pillows and either sisal or sea-grass on the floor. Just the right amount of accessories too. And did I mention the chandelier or the antique andirons in the stone fireplace? And how about the beautiful moldings, painted coffered ceiling, and unique transom over the doorway?
What is not to love ?

My home is done in neutrals.. love this! Lots going on and the different textures fit perfectly. As we update our home (kids in college!) I get so much inspiration from these homes. Thanks for posting!

When you have a monochromatic room you need a lot of detail like the ceiling, transom and the fabulous fireplace with herringbone pattern along with all the texture it brings the room to life. I want the candlesticks and painting on the mantle they’re stunning!

I really love this room, even though I require a bit more color in my home...there is something so timeless and inviting about neutrals.
