A Bit of Blue
Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11:29AM
We're working on a really fun new design incorporating a touch of blue through out the home. The fabrics are coming together beautifully. Everything is very light and fresh...
Initial Inspiration for the kitchen...we've chosen Benjamin Moore Sea Pine for some of the cabinets and the Butler Pantry...

Barstool finish and fabric...

The family room is open to the kitchen..
Sofa fabric...
Fabric for a large ottoman rather than a coffee table...

Dining Room Inspiration...We've ordered similar chairs in a vintage sand velvet. We're reupholstering the clients own higher back throne chairs in a tone on tone velvet in the same hue for the host and hostess chairs...We've chosen a beautiful linen for the drapes..

Drapery fabric...it's gorgeous!

Side Chairs...

End Chairs...
More inspiration for the clients living room.
Similar vaulted ceilings with beams...Love this chandelier!

Notice the subtle addition of blue ...
But...You don't have to start completely over to inject fresh color into your own space.
We've gathered lots of lovely images to inspire you to make some changes...
Choose a fresh color that blends nicely with what you already have. There are so many shades of blue that adapt easily to most spaces, so today it's all about ...a bit of blue...

What do you think?
It's your turn. Let's talk!

What a beautiful post. I love your fabric choices, such a pretty palette.
I'm totally loving all of this. The monochromatics with just a hint of blue makes me feel very serene and happy. The tall chest with all that blue & white is completely awesome.
You guys should come to my house, throw me out for a few days while you do your work and then invite me back home when you're finished...I would be thrilled with whatever you presented. Must see the end result of this beautiful project, ladies. Sending love....
Love your post! The drapery fabric and the cut velvet absolutely yummy. You have marvelous taste!
Blue is my favorite

So naturally, I'm a

I would love the name of the "Vintage Velvet" you showed in your post. I am trying to create the same look in my living room and want to upholster my sofa in velvet or
mohair. That color looks like just the ticket. Loved the pics and your wonderful combinations of fabrics.
