This is a special Sunday Supper...
It's Father's Day and we love our Daddy to the moon.
He is fighting prostate cancer right now. Chemo and all of those ugly things..
We are fixing all of Daddy's Summer favorites...
Fried Chicken...Chicken and dumplings...Fried Corn...Fresh Purple Hull peas...,Green Beans...Fresh sliced Summer tomatoes, Cucumbers and onions,and Strawberry shortcake...
Flowers for the table from my garden...
The crowns are for sale in our online store...they make a really special centerpiece soooo easy.
Everyone in the South has their own version of fresh fried corn.. or Southern Style Cream Corn as some call it...here is ours...It's Daddy's favorite.

and yes, that's bacon you see in the green beans...we live in the South remember?
These are cheater chicken and dumplings...if we had gone to Mother's they would have ben the real thing...you know roll out the dough and all of that stuff...the best no doubt...but I've got the flavoring just right in the next best thing...
Sour cream pound cake and fresh strawberries just waiting for fresh whipped creme...
I know we're late for Sunday Supper...we've been busy cooking...My plan was to quickly take pictures of the rest of the meal that Sister had prepared when she got here and step away and finish the post...Just talked to Mother and Daddy feels rotten...making the perfect blog post just doesn't seem important...it's going to be a wonderful meal and we are going to love on Daddy, and that is what is important!
