The Sister's helped give a cocktail party for a dear friend that is getting married on Friday evening. The venue was the Arkansas Art's Center. It's a wonderful venue to host a party with one downfall...we could not even get in to begin set up until 4:00 and the party started at 7:00.
We had an army of volunteers to help...or it just would not have happened. The tables weren't even set to start decorating until 5:00. Yikes!
But didn't they turn out lovely?
We centered large silver candelabras on each table. We added potted double bloom floral azaleas in soft pink, white snap dragons, angelonia and fresh ivy. Then we mossed around everything to cover the pots.
Small birdcage votives (which we sell in our store) click here to purchase were filled with astromeria lillys rather than candles and placed around the centerpiece.
We did a similar centerpiece with an iron candelabra and colorful potted bulbs for an outdoor dinner party earlier in the Spring...it had an entirely different look.
In the fall you could do something like this with potted mums, pansies and pumpkins...
For the holidays add poinsetias and fresh greens and pine cones.
Easy and beautiful.
Friday evening we all quickly changed in the bathroom after set up just in time to greet our guests and thoroughly enjoyed the party. It was so fun pulling it all together with our friends!
It's wedding season. Do you have any parties to plan?
It's your turn. Let's talk!
