MONA THOMPSON AND TALENA RAY, OWNERS OF PROVIDENCE DESIGN, REIMAGINED THE MASTER BEDROOM FOR THEIR SECOND TIME PARTICIPATING IN THE SYMPHONY DESIGNER HOUSE. “Our goal was to lighten everything up an create a beautiful master retreat for the homeowners,” Mona says.
To achieve this, they updated the fireplace, which was covered in ceramic tile and heavily scrolled corbels, with a more current mantel featuring a clean, timeless limestone finish. From there, a custom iron canopy bed and elegant yet understated fabrics came into play to achieve the desired look. “Our goal is always to create spaces that are beautiful, functional, and appropriate. We feel we achieved that, and that our design fits the overall design of this home perfectly,” Talena says. “This look is current yet steeped with history that is reflected in a mix of modern with antiques. It’s collected, personal, and comfortable,” Mona adds.
Mona and Talena, who are sisters as well as co-owners of Providence Design, enjoy being a part of the cause to give back to the community. “We feel it’s rewarding to get to collaborate on such a project with this amazing group of Arkansas designers,“ Talena says
